Fixed Price Package: £2,000
This fixed price covers your care for the vasectomy procedure and up to one consultant follow-up appointment. Your initial consultation is booked and charged separately.

Before your procedure
To proceed with the fixed price package, you will first need to book an initial consultation with one of our specialists. During this appointment, your consultant will review your medical history, discuss your reasons for considering a vasectomy and explain the procedure, its benefits, risks and alternatives.
As a vasectomy is intended to be a permanent form of contraception, your consultant will also make sure you understand the long-term implications of treatment and have the opportunity to ask any questions before deciding whether to proceed.
If clinically appropriate, your urologist will recommend the procedure and refer you onto the Fixed Price Package pathway.
You will undergo a clinical pre-assessment to confirm your suitability for the procedure and fixed price package.

During your stay
Your hospital fee is included within the fixed price package, along with the anaesthetist fee where applicable and your consultant’s fee for carrying out the vasectomy.
A vasectomy is usually performed under local anaesthetic. During the procedure, the vas deferens – the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles – are cut and sealed to prevent sperm from entering the semen.
The procedure usually takes around 15-20 minutes. You will have a short period of recovery afterwards and can normally return home the same day.
After your procedure
Some mild pain, bruising or swelling around the scrotum is normal following a vasectomy. Your clinical team will provide advice on caring for the area and managing any discomfort while you recover.
Most people can return to desk-based work within one or two days, although you may need longer if your job involves heavy lifting or strenuous physical activity.
Follow-up care
Your package includes up to one follow-up consultation with your consultant.
Following your vasectomy, you will need to provide a semen sample to check whether sperm are still present. Your clinical team will explain when and how your sample should be provided.
A vasectomy does not become effective immediately. You will need to continue using another form of contraception until semen testing confirms that the procedure has been successful.

Consultant assessment
Your consultant will explain how a vasectomy works, its permanent nature, potential risks and alternative forms of contraception.
If a vasectomy is clinically appropriate for you, your consultant can refer you onto the Fixed Price Package pathway.
Pre-assessment
You will undergo a clinical pre-assessment to confirm your suitability for the procedure and eligibility for the package. You should tell the clinical team about any medical conditions, allergies and medicines you are taking.
Price confirmation
Once your suitability is confirmed, your £2,000 fixed price will be agreed and confirmed before your procedure is booked.
Your procedure
Your vasectomy will be carried out by an experienced consultant, supported by our clinical team.
The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic and takes around 15-20 minutes. The vas deferens are cut and sealed to prevent sperm from entering your semen.
You will normally be able to return home the same day.
Follow-up care
After your procedure, you will be advised when to provide a semen sample to confirm whether your vasectomy has been successful.
Your package includes up to one consultant follow-up appointment.
You must continue using another form of contraception until you have been advised that your semen test confirms the procedure has been successful.

About fixed pricing
Eligibility for Fixed Price Packages is determined through a pre-assessment process, which ensures the package is clinically suitable for your individual circumstances.
In some cases, your clinical needs may require additional investigations or treatment outside the scope of the standard package. If this happens, your care may move outside the fixed price package, and additional costs may apply.
Where possible, this will be discussed with you in advance as part of the consent process.

Monthly payments need to be linked to a One Stop Healthcare treatment over £385 and is subject to a 14-day ‘cooling-off’ period before any treatment can start.
