Mr Farhan Rashid

Mr Farhan Rashid has trained comprehensively in both benign and malignant upper GI surgery (both open and laparoscopic), hernia surgery (open/laparoscopic) and obesity surgery.

After completing the Basic Surgical Training in the East Midlands, he was involved in a two-year research project at The University of Nottingham and was awarded a DM degree from the same university. His higher surgical training was at the East of England Deanery.

Mr Rashid has trained at five regional oesophageal and gastric cancer units, including Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and two regional bariatric units in the UK. This training helped him obtain the certificate of completion of training (CCT) as well as the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS).

Mr Rashid’s general surgery, laparoscopic surgery and bariatric surgery practice is based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital. His oesophageal and gastric cancer surgery practice is based at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London.
