Mr Alla Amin

Mr Amin is a general surgeon with a special interest in coloproctology and laparoscopic surgery. He has worked with a variety of surgeons with different surgical interests. Mr Amin’s main higher surgical training was in the North East Thames region and he also trained in coloproctology, inflammatory bowel disease and ano-rectal functional disorders at the Royal Free Hospital in London. His training at Whipps Cross Hospital expanded his experience in General Surgery, laparoscopic surgery, especially cholecystectomy (Laparoscopic key-hole surgery for gall bladders and hernia repair surgery).

In Mr Amin’s private practice, in addition to his General Surgery practice, he carries out laparoscopic (keyhole) hernia repair and laparoscopic gall bladder removal together with a variety of other general surgery procedures. He also carries out all forms of laparoscopic bowel surgery. Recently Mr Amin started treating haemorrhoids with a new technique of radio-frequency ablation (RAFAELO). It is a safe and effective day case procedure with minimal post-operative pain and early recovery.

Mr Amin’s private practice reflects his NHS General Surgery practice. In addition to the above, he also specialised in management of pelvic floor disorder and constipation.

Personal profile:

Mr Amin is married with two grown-up sons. He is actively involved in improving standards of health education in the community and regularly arrange talks and workshops for his local community and is willing to extend this to other communities.
