Dr Anoop Babu

Dr Babu is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Leicester, where he also obtained a BSc with First Class Honours, demonstrating an early commitment to academic excellence in medicine.

Following graduation, Dr Babu undertook his specialty training in Respiratory Medicine within the East of England deanery, achieving my Certificate of Completion of Training CCT. During his training, he developed a specialist interest in Interstitial Lung Disease ILD and Pulmonary Hypertension, including a period of experience at Papworth Hospital, a nationally recognised centre of excellence for cardiothoracic and pulmonary vascular disease.

In Dr Babu’s current consultant role, he provides comprehensive respiratory care with a subspecialty focus on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease COPD, Asthma, and Interstitial Lung Disease ILD, contributing to both the general respiratory service and specialist multidisciplinary pathways at Luton and Dunstable.
