You will need a referral from either an OSD Healthcare GP or Consultant, or any external clinician providing you have the relevant request form.
During the appointment
You will be taken to a private consultation room and made comfortable in a chair. The clinician will ask you to confirm your identity and will then take blood from the most suitable vein.
A friend or family member may attend the appointment with you.
During the appointment, a phlebotomist (a clinician who is experienced in taking blood samples) will be assisting you.
After the appointment
Results are often available the following day; some tests take longer to process but you will be advised if this is the case during your appointment.
